Tuleap Requirement Management Tech Preview: Artidoc got a brand new editor
It’s been a long work under the hood to reach our goal: provide seamless editing capabilities in Artidoc. But what does that mean in practice?
Well, we made a short video to demonstrate as it’s easier shown than explained.
So to summarize:
- Artidoc no longer distinguishes between read and write modes for documents.
- While the content is saved as Artifacts, Tuleap masks them so users can focus on the content.
- The new editor supports all artifacts edition capabilities (formatting, images, references, …).
- The new editor now respects default browser behavior (e.g., copy/paste, spellcheck).
What will come next ?
The next topic we will address will be the ability to structure your documents with a hierarchy of titles and texts in addition to the artifact content. Stay tuned !
Cross-Tracker Search polishing
Following General Availability of Cross-Tracker Search in Tuleap 16.0 we took time to add some final touches to improve the overall experience.
The most visible change is that Expert mode (where you write the TQL query) is the new default. It means that when a Cross-Tracker Search widget is added to a dashboard, it is automatically in Expert mode. As writing TQL from scratch might be intimidating, we decided to preconfigure widgets with a default query depending of the context.
Project dashboards will show by default, all open artifacts of the project, sorted according to their last update date
User dashboard will show, by default, all open artifacts, assigned to the current user. It searches in all projects where the user is project member thanks to new MY_PROJECTS() function.

During the 16.1 release cycle, 47 requests were implemented. Bugs and security fixes were already back-ported on Tuleap Enterprise builds. You will find below a detailed list of fixes. The most notable ones are in bold.
